goodspark* is the design studio and freelance presence of Lauren Johnson. With a degree in Interactive Multimedia emphasizing both graphic design and programming, she can easily handle both front-end and back-end development. She has previously worked as an intern at Jellyvision - award winning developers of the most excellent trivia game ever "You Don't Know Jack" - and as a lead interactive designer at a boutique advertising studio. She is currently part-time faculty at Columbia College in Chicago, teaching interface design and web animation in their Interactive Arts & Media department.
Lauren has been a freelance designer since 2005, and loves working with both small and large clients. She is rabid about the customer experience and usability, as well as standards and browser compliance. She believes firmly in creating designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but are also polite and have good manners.
When she manages to break away from her computer, she likes crafting sweet little treats for her home - anything from an upholstered ottoman to red velvet cupcakes - and watching reruns of Pop-Up Video on VH1 Classic.
